This painting depicts designs associated with the Water Dreaming site of Mikantji, west of Yuendumu. In mythological times the Water Dreaming travelled from Kalipinpa, north of Sandy Blight Junction, east to Mikantji. Men of the Tjungurrayi kinship subsection are owner-keepers of this jukurrpa. The central roundel represents the soakage at the site with water entering from each side. The outer curved lines represent lightning.
