Portrayed are some of the hills and creeks of Texas Downs Station. The name of the creek to the right in the painting is Bamboo Creek. It flows down from a spring in the hills and meets Jessie Creek. On the left of the painting is a very large hill. Churchill Cann (Yoonany) recalls that in the early days a stockman had an accident therel. He and his horse fell into a large crevice between the rocks. The stockman had to kill the horse, and with his arm and shoulder broken, he carried the saddle down the hill.
