Darrajayn (Springvale Station) is Betty´s father´s country. He grew up in this country and roamed through these hills as a child, until he was old enough to work as a stockman. He then moved to a neighbouring station, Alice Downs, for work. These hills lie behind Rosie´s yard, an old stockyard on Springvale station that is still in use. The white area in the hills is manjal (white quartz).
