Art Galerie Bähr curated at the Städtische Galerie Reutlingen
Spendhaus an exhibition with woodcuts and acrylic paintings from
Utopia, in central Australia. The works exhibited consisted of The Utopia Suite, a collection of 72 woodcuts from 1990 by Aboriginal artists, and 16 paintings from artists who had taken part in the woodcuts project in 1990.. It was the first exhibition of the works outside of Australia, where two complete sets are in the collections of the National Gallery of Australia, Canberra, and the Art Gallery of New South Wales, Sydney. The 23 x 26 cm catalogue, containing 21 coloured and 72 black-and-white plates and 56 pages in German can be ordered for 18 Euro + postage per Fax (+49-6232-78924) or per E-Mail. Die Holzschnitte wurden zum ersten Mal außerhalb Australiens gezeigt. Zwei weitere Mappen der Utopia Suite befinden sich in den Sammlungen der National Gallery of Australia, Canberra, und der Art Gallery of New South Wales, Sydney.
