Aboriginal Art ... in Germany: Paintings are on display in the gallery throughout the whole year. We regularly invite the public to special exhibitions with particular themes and with accompanying guest speakers. To be added to our mailing list, just write to us. The gallery owns a large collection of selected works of museum quality. Artists with established reputations, whose canvases have already been exhibited around the world or are in important collections and museums, are represented. The main activities of the gallery concern the curation and exhibition of contemporary Australian art in public art galleries, art associations and in other venues well known for exhibiting modern art in (or near) Germany. The gallery manager also offers seminars which provide a comprehensive overview of the art of Australian Aborigines, an introduction to their art history and a summary of the reception of the art in Australia and Germany. The purpose of these internet pages is to help you obtain information about contemporary art by australian Aborigines, in particular about the artists and works from central Australia. These art works, and others which cannot be shown here for copyright reasons, can be viewed in the original - and of course purchased - in the Gallery in Speyer, Germany. Services and Contact: We organise Exhibitions also outside the gallery and include here full information about the associated cultural or musical events. The gallery on request undertakes to acquire works by particular artists. We can advise or help with the extension of an art collection or with the acquisition of works for a particular site or business. If it is not possible for you to visit the gallery in person, then we can of course send photographs of individual works. Paintings can be sent by insured freight or post, world-wide. Getting to the Gallery: The gallery is located on the western side of Speyer, a town on the Rhein river in Germany, situated between Mannheim and Karlsruhe, not far from Heidelberg.
