Elizabeth Nyumi Nungurrayi was born near Jupiter Well. In her early years she lived together with her family a nomadic life. Later she worked as a domestic servant in many different farms. She began painting in 1988 and has focused on interpreting the themes within the Tingari Cycle, a tjukurrpa belonging to her country Tapinna/Nyunkun. Elizabeth Nyumi Nungurrayi is married to the artist Palmer Gordon Tjapanangka and, parallel to their work as artists, both teach at a neighbouring school the songs and dances which are part of their cultural education. Elizabeth Nyumi also teaches staff a the local hospital about traditional medicinal plants and techniques.

This painting depicts Nyumi´s people in their traditional country in the Great Sandy Desert. We see people ("U" shapes) gathered at camp sites. Dotted ovals depict coolamon (wooden dishes) filled with bush food. "U" shapes represent Minyilli bushes, which produce a bush tomato. The landscape is dominated by parallel sand dunes.

This painting is a depiction of gathering food in the artist´s country. We see a central water hole which is a rich source of food. There is a nearby camp, a large coolamon (wooden dish) and a wanna (digging stick). The surrounding country is covered in bush food, particularly pura (bush potato) and karntilli (bush gooseberry).

This painting depicts the country of Elizateth Nyumi´s birth, and features a series of rock holes in the country known as Pawalla, shown here as small green circles. Various features of the landscape are shown here, from food to landscape, to people moving and living in that country. There are people, the brown "U" shapes, gathering food and a coolamons with food, while the majority of the painting - and the landscape it depicts - is dominated by sand dunes, or talis.
